The Metro Denver Susan G. Komen for the Cure is celebrating its 20th anniversary at the Oct. 27 Pink Tie Affair.

Arlene Mohler Johnson and Gayle Novak are co-chairing the dinner, dancing and casino night and Gayle hosted the kickoff lunch last week at The Summit Steak House, which she and Ed Novak own. Gayle hosted about 60 women who mingled with four of Colorado’s past first ladies Dottie Lamm, Bea Romer, Frances Owens and Jeanne Ritter. Komen supports breast cancer research and care, and Lamm and Romer’s mother had breast cancer, as has Johnson.
