Vote Batcho, Director District B for Cherry Creek School Board
Although I am no longer on the Cherry Creek Board of Education, the district, staff and students will always hold a special place in my heart. That’s why it is so important to be informed about this November’s elections. Many people continue to choose the Cherry Creek School District as a highly desirable place to live and raise their children. Our district’s nationally recognized reputation and performance play a critical role in maintaining and increasing our property values.
Cherry Creek has a strong tradition of electing school board members who have had involvement at the school level, district level and election level. That’s why I am voting for Matt Batcho in Director District B. Matt is a proven leader in all of the above and has demonstrated a strong commitment to our students and our schools for more than seven years. His experience is relevant and current. Matt was the PTCO president at Polton Elementary, is a member of the Long Range Facility Planning Committee (a position appointed only by the Board of Education) and was the building coordinator for the 2012 Budget & Bond election. Our voters need to know that one of the main roles of a board member and a definitive expectation of the CCSD community is a clear understanding of the budget and unwavering fiscal stewardship. Matt’s evidence of this requirement is his experience with our last successful passage of 3A and 3B in 2012. It provided critical resources for student achievement and necessary facility upgrades throughout our entire district. I am confident Matt will act in a transparent, fiscally responsible manner and be a good steward of our taxpayer dollars.
As a Board of Education member, Matt will be dedicated to ensuring all our students are prepared for a post secondary education whether it is college, the military or job related training. He has two daughters who currently attend CCSD schools. Matt will have children in our schools over the course of his term, so he has a vested interest in the district’s ongoing success. And most importantly, Matt is running without an agenda and without any endorsements from special interest groups.
Please support Matt Batcho on Nov. 3 with your vote. His name is first on the ballot and Matt Batcho is the right person to lead the Cherry Creek School District.

Vote Miklin for Greenwood District 1
Freda Miklin is a candidate for the Greenwood Village City Council District 1.
Freda served on our neighborhood homeowner’s association board of directors. During her tenure on the board, she demonstrated strong business acumen, fiscal responsibility, the ability to work with all parties, never lost sight of the responsibility of leadership and the vision of the end goal.
Since her departure from the HOA Board, we have involved her in several issues affecting Greenwood Village – not just our neighborhood. Her insight into the proper individuals to contact, her call to action and their responses to her have been extremely impressive. All for the betterment of Greenwood Village.
Freda will be an outstanding council member with a strong voice for all of Greenwood Village and not just District 1.
Vote Freda Miklin for Greenwood Village City Council District 1
As ballots arrive this week, it is good to know that Greenwood Village residents in District 1 have an outstanding City Council candidate in Freda Miklin. Freda has lived and raised her family in our community for more than 25 years. Just living here wasn’t enough though. She got involved by volunteering on her homeowner association board then on Greenwood Village’s Board of Adjustments and, currently, on Greenwood Village’s Planning and Zoning Commission. Freda’s care and concern for Greenwood Village is apparent. She studies the issues, listens carefully and shows respect for citizens on positions that are important to them. In addition to her knowledge of Greenwood Village, her experience in municipal finance, law and operations makes her the ideal person to represent District 1 and our Village.
Freda will ensure that the financial position of the Village remains strong, that the outstanding services we enjoy and appreciate will continue and that the beauty of our parks and trails will be protected. Vote for Freda Miklin for Greenwood Village City Council District 1.
Arapahoe County Commissioner, District 2
Former Greenwood Village mayor
Miklin is right person for District 1
I would like to endorse the candidate Freda Miklin for City Council in my home District 1. I am a resident and daily user of the High Line Canal trail system. Freda has been really helpful in getting info and participating in the recent debate over Harrison Oaks project. I think she is interested in keeping the rural character of Greenwood Village, while listening to the concerns of all citizens. She has had lots of experience in city politics and would make a valuable council member.
Vote Miklin and Lasley for Greenwood Village City Council District 1
I endorse Freda Miklin and Henny Lasley as the best suited to serve the residents of Greenwood Village District 1. Miklin and Lasley, both strong civic and community leaders, provide a highly balanced, complementary style to address the unique needs of District 1 and the entire Village. Miklin brings 20 years of experience and in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of our great city, and Lasley brings 20 years of community, policy and board leadership experience.
It has been a rewarding experience to serve as your City Councilwoman for these past eight years. I wholeheartedly believe Miklin and Lasley will continue our long-standing traditions and strong representation of our citizens today and in the years to come.

Freda Miklin for Greenwood Village City Council District 1
As a 20 plus year resident of Greenwood Village, I urge all voters in District 1 to vote for Freda Miklin. Freda has been a long time neighbor who, along with her husband Jerry, have raised a wonderful family and also volunteered and participated in many county, city, school district and HOA committees and activities. Her knowledge of the community is second to none and she is one of the smartest people I know, who can accomplish great things. Freda is my “go to” person for updates on current issues. A true consensus builder who will work tirelessly to benefit the residents of Greenwood Village.

Vote Miklin for Greenwood City Council
I realize that we have an election coming up shortly and there is one candidate, Freda Miklin, I would like to voice my support for. I have known Freda for more than 20 years and worked with her on The Preserve HOA Board. Her background as a CPA and her related financial skills in helping direct the budgeting and finance process of this large HOA proved most valuable. Equally impressive was her personal involvement in the affairs of The Preserve as it related to the growth of Greenwood Village and its commitment for being the best-governed city in the metropolitan area. We would be well served for her being elected and bringing those skills to the Greenwood Village City Council.
Vote Batcho for CCSD Board Director District C
There is an important school board member election for the Cherry Creek School District this November. Three of the five seats are up for election.
Eric Parish is running unopposed for Director District A and Dave Willman is running unopposed for re-election in Director District C. I believe Matt Batcho is the best-qualified, independent candidate to serve on the CCSD Board of Education of the four candidates running for the Director District B seat. Batcho will effectively represent all of the stakeholders’ expectations for excellent schools. Batcho has been an active volunteer in CCSD for many years. He served two years as president of the Polton Elementary Parent Teacher Community Organization. Batcho has two daughters in the Overland feeder area and thoroughly understands the challenges that impact the area. He served as the building coordinator for Polton for the 2012 Bond and Budget election. I was the chair of the Citizen’s Campaign Committee and it was a privilege and a pleasure to work with an effective leader like Matt Batcho. Batcho currently serves on the Long Range Facility Planning Committee for the entire district. His former military experience broadens his perspective of the various paths to success that need to be available to students. Cherry Creek voters have a strong tradition of electing school board members who have a broad view of the district and concern for the achievement of all students. Batcho is running without an agenda and without any endorsements beyond those who know him personally. Batcho has demonstrated a strong commitment to our students and our schools over a period of many years. Please join me and vote for Matt Batcho to ensure that the strong tradition of excellence continues in the Cherry Creek School District.
