On September 15, guests at Cuvée’s “Flight to Luxury” fundraising event gathered in two private jet hangars at Centennial Airport to enjoy “Denver’s Ultimate Giving Experience.” From live musical and dance performances to exceptional cuisine from the Mile High City’s top eateries, every activity and experience was curated to touch people’s minds and hearts, and inspire them to support the nearly 10,000 youth who rely on the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver for social/emotional support and educational opportunities.
Larry Mueller, Cuvée’s founder and CEO, came up with the idea of the fundraiser, an annual event in its 8th year, to “help kids make good decisions, get support and have a human connection.” As he opened the live auction he stated his reasoning behind supporting the charity, “Boys & Girls Clubs are a life-changing opportunity, and for many children it is a second home.”
Children from the Boys & Girls Clubs participated throughout the night. They lined the red carpet as guests moved through the event, holding up thank you signs, posing for photos and offering fist bumps and handshakes. Guests were deeply affected as they interacted with the children and learned about their lives and experiences.
The most emotionally charged moment of the night came during the football toss, when Peyton Manning, former Denver Broncos quarterback, threw signed footballs into the audience for donations of $5,000 to $10,000. An inspired and generous donor chose to give a young man from the club the opportunity to catch Peyton’s throw, rather than catching it himself, eliciting many cheers as well as a few happy tears from the audience.
Surrounded by elegant charter planes and luxury automobiles, guests also were invited to participate in incredible experiences including wine tastings, a fashion show and a silent disco. From start to finish, the evening was truly unforgettable. Items available for silent bidding included tickets to red carpet events, award-winning golf excursions, fine art, aged whiskey, exotic wine vintages and more.
During the live auction, hosted by Cuvée and its exclusive partners, guests generated hundreds of thousands of dollars for the clubs as guests bid on luxury vacation experiences across the world.
One of the highest winning packages included a one-of-a-kind South African safari experience, featuring two nights at Cape Town’s esteemed Silo Hotel, two nights at La Residence in the Franschhoek winelands and four nights on luxury safari with Singita. Other travel opportunities included luxurious trips to Hawaii, Italy, Robb Report’s Car of the Year in Napa, St. Barths and Royal Island, a private island in the Bahamas exclusively offered by Cuvée.
The live auction served as a platform for Cuvée to showcase their luxurious properties across the world, while at the same time giving back to the community they love. The company even doubled the donation of several packages, bringing in additional funding for Denver kids.
