Arapahoe County public trustee denies wrongdoing
Peters-Ruddick says she will reapply for position
By Peter Jones
Arapahoe County Public Trustee Ana Maria Peters-Ruddick said she will reapply for her job after being among the 10 Colorado trustees who were asked to resign last week amid controversy. The appointed official, who oversees foreclosures and releases of deeds of trust in the county, insists she did nothing wrong.
“I can’t speak about anyone else, but at the Public Trustee’s Office in Arapahoe County, we have worked very hard to make sure we are as transparent as possible,” Peters-Ruddick said.
On July 10, Gov. John Hickenlooper asked all 10 of the state’s gubernatorial-appointed trustees to resign after a series of reports in The Denver Post
