Arapahoe County’s public trustee won’t get her job back
Peters-Ruddick had reapplied amid statewide controversy

Arapahoe County’s Ana Maria Peters-Ruddick is among a slew of ousted public trustees who will not be getting their jobs back.
The former state-appointed county official had reapplied for the position last month after Gov. John Hickenlooper asked Peters-Ruddick and nine other public trustees to resign amid accusations that many of them had abused their authority.
Half of the ousted trustees have since been given their jobs back. Three new officials were appointed last week and two more appointments in Arapahoe and Mesa counties are coming soon, according to Hickenlooper’s office.
Peters-Ruddick, who is reportedly “very upset” about the situation, did not return a request for comment.
