After eight months of intense controversy and extreme negative publicity, Mullen finally appears to be leaving the Emergency Department and heading toward the recovery room after being in the limelight for all the wrong reasons.

Mullen hired Carl Unrein, a 1972 alumni and respected businessman in the community. This step is an effort to change direction and public perceptions about this 81-year-old private Catholic co-ed high school in southwest Denver.
