Idea person Linda Bowen Scott and her fellow co-chair attorney Judith Rosenblum produced a multi-faceted, fun-filled evening at the contemporary, yet cozy Chlóe Messe Lounge in LoDo. The club was filled even on a wet and snowy evening plagued with accidents and traffic jams. Fortunately, the committee had already planned for Uber limousine service in advance shuttling those who purchased Double Diva level tickets for the clever event.
The girls’ night out theme was enhanced by a silent auction, fashion from Mariel in Cherry Creek North and performances by award-winning dancers from Colorado Dancesport and entertainment from 3rd Law Dance/Theater. Denver Ballet Guild has funded 3rd Law for the past four years.
Divas for Dance hostesses included Melissa Danciger, Kim Manning, Pam Piro, Kay Savci, Lisa Stennes and Board Chair Susan Struns. LaFawn Biddle, Kat Wells, Laurie Glezen Gahm, Arlene Mohler Johnson and Kay Savci were Patron Level ticket holders.
The cornerstone partner of the evening, underwriting the food was GSR Fund, Inc., a fourth generation Colorado nonprofit providing generous support to worthy community endeavors in Colorado and throughout the United States.
Models for the fashion show included: Laura Harmon, Denise Nalen, who will chair the 2015 Bal de Ballet; Melissa Dancinger, Elaine Swomley, Michaela Kolberg, Halley Stennes, a 2013 Bal de Ballet honoree; Irene Zimmer, Gwen Phillips of 3rd Law Dance/Theater, Emma Rosenblum, also a 2013 Bal de Ballet honoree; Danielle Hendricks, Tracey Gau and Katrina Benes.
Funds raised will further Denver Ballet Guild’s mission in support of dance, including dance education and scholarship.
