UPDATE: Wife shot to death while arguing with husband
An argument escalated to violence, ending Dec. 29, with a wife dead and her husband arrested on suspicion of murder.
In custody in Arapahoe County Detention Center was Russell Brunecz, 47, of unincorporated Arapahoe County, according to Sheriff Grayson Robinson.
Brunecz had his first appearance where he was advised of his rights and charges that may be filed. No bond was set.
Brunecz called authorities about 8:30 a.m., Dec. 29, saying he had shot his wife during an argument, according to a Sheriff’s Office media release.
When deputies arrived at the home in 23800 block of East Archer Place, they found the body of Monique D. Brunecz, 64, inside.
An autopsy revealed that Mrs. Brunecz died of

It’s unfortunate what has happened, we are all in shock and grieving. No one can exactly pin point what happened except the two people involved and sadly neither are available for comment.
Please remember that there are family and friends of these people that read information to try and make sense what has happened. Comments that seem witty serve only one purpose – twist the knife deeper into the wounds of the loved ones surrounding the situation.
Like your mama said – ‘ If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all.’ – In this day and age it should also apply to things in text.
RIP Mrs. B. you were a great teacher and mentor to alot of kids and you will be missed dearly. God bless family and friends- A student who struggled in spanish and fluently speaks today.
