UPDATE: Family Festival and Fireworks Show CANCELED

 Cherry Hills cancels country club fireworks

The annual Fourth of July Family Festival and Fireworks Show that was scheduled to take place in three adjacent parks in Littleton and Englewood has been canceled due to Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson’s announced prohibition of all fireworks, including professional displays.

The entire event – not just the fireworks – will not take place this year. The festival usually includes live music, food vendors, a fishing derby and other activities for children.

“We’re refunding the vendors money so they have the opportunity to do business elsewhere,” Littleton city spokeswoman Kelli Narde said. “… We just didn’t figure there would be a lot of people who’d want to go out there
