The ‘Fairest’ of them all: Arapahoe County offers five days of fun

The carnival midway was not overly crowded on Saturday, perhaps due to the $25 wristbands, but free admission on Wednesday and Thursday and a variety of free entertainment helped ease fairgoers’ pocketbooks. Photos by Peter Jones

Whether it was live music, amusement rides, running around in mud or twirling inside a floating plastic bubble, the Arapahoe County Fair offered something for almost everyone, July 25-30.

The food was plentiful … and traditional.

The fair’s competitions ran the gamut, from the best in goats …

… to the strongest in arm wrestling.
