Youth Commission brings rock, blues and wind; Six bands battle during competition at Village Park

For four years now, the Centennial Youth Commission has put on a Battle of the Bands for local aspiring artists. This year, the Youth Commission partnered up with the Mayor’s Youth Corps at Village Park where six bands competed before headlining band Sleeptalk performed.

“The majority of the band members have to be under 21 but most of the bands that applied this year ranged between 13 and 18,” Youth Commission liaison Kara Peters said.
